An Exciting Change for Tulsa SPCA

Tulsa SPCA is very excited to introduce you to their new CEO, Grant McCarty.

Grant is a graduate of the University of Tulsa, where he earned a degree in marketing. Since graduating, he has spent his career working in mission-driven roles that combine relationship building, strategy, and community impact.

Early in his career, Grant moved to New Delhi, India, where he spent three years working for a nonprofit ministry. He later joined Voice of the Martyrs in Bartlesville, serving for three years and traveling overseas to help manage projects in India, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, and Nepal. While the work was incredibly meaningful and formative, the demands of traveling more than 100 days a year eventually led him to seek a role that better aligned with family life.

Going from global to local, Grant helped launch Best Buddies Oklahoma, an organization focused on creating opportunities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. During his time there, Grant helped build the organization statewide, launching more than 20 chapters across Oklahoma and raising millions of dollars to establish and grow the mission.

Grant is married to his college sweetheart, Alex, an ICU nurse at St. John Medical Center. They have two young children, Thea, age five, and Harrison, age three, and share their home with a golden retriever named Ellie, who was adopted during his time in India and is affectionately known as Ellie from Delhi.

Tulsa SPCA is excited to embark on this new journey with Grant and to grow the impact they are able to make in their community.
